Here are some updates for the week:
🚨 DON’T FORGET: Apprenticeship Enrollment March 2025 🚨
It’s not too late! Employees interested in starting the apprenticeship program next month can still apply. The next opportunity to enroll after this will be in May.
Amteck is proud to offer our employees an opportunity to participate in our United States Department of Labor registered, electrical apprenticeship program. This four-year program pays you while you work and prepares you for your Journeyman Exam. At the end, you can earn your electrical license debt-free and follow the Amteck career path of your choosing. Prerequisites:
- Employed with Amteck for 30 days and demonstrate a strong work ethic and job performance.
- Receive recommendation from a supervisor
- Completed application form by March 3rd!

📚👨🏻🏫💯 We have started up again with study sessions for the Amteck NEC Certification Program.
These will take place:

Time: 7:00pm – 8:00pm (log on at 6:50pm, if possible)

Over the course of these study sessions, we will be going over Conductor Sizing, Conduit Fill, Bonding and Grounding, and Wireways.
Join one or more of the available offerings to review NEC Certification material with Amteck Instructors and leadership! Even if you are not in the program, these will apply to all things electrical. Note, these study sessions are optional and therefore unpaid.

⚙️ CHARLESTON JOB UPDATE
🔧 Keeping the Power Flowing in Okatie!
Chad Mixson and his crew in Charleston are making sure this Surgery Center has the power it needs.
Right now, they’re installing underground conduit that will feed a 600 AMP three-phase panel, supplying power to a new AHU. Control wiring is running alongside, ensuring everything operates smoothly. It’s the kind of work you don’t always see—but it makes all the difference. Big thanks to the team for getting it done!
🏗️ MAIN STREET UPDATE
🌆 Reviving a Lexington Landmark
Across from Rupp Arena, Amteck is helping breathe new life into a long-vacant Main Street building.
Demo is in full swing—greenhouses, outdated lighting, and old electrical systems are coming down to make way for something better. Our team is relocating circuits and preparing for new exterior lighting that will soon illuminate this revitalized space. Stay tuned for the transformation!
⛪ SOUTHLAND CHURCH UPDATE
🔌 Building for the Future
Southland’s Richmond campus is coming together piece by piece!
- Amteck Service is running overhead conduit and branch wiring.
- Amteck Technologies is threading data cables through the walls to bring the space to life.
- Can lights are going up, ceilings are being installed, and fresh paint is defining each space.
We’re about 60% through the project, and every step gets Southland closer to welcoming its community for Easter service. Great work, team!

⚙️ ACTUALIZACIÓN DEL PROYECTO EN CHARLESTON
🔧 Manteniendo la Energía en Okatie
Chad Mixson y su equipo en Charleston están asegurando que este Centro Quirúrgico tenga toda la energía que necesita.
Actualmente, están instalando un conduit subterráneo que alimentará un panel trifásico de 600 AMP, proporcionando energía a una nueva unidad de aire acondicionado (AHU). También se está instalando el cableado de control para garantizar que todo funcione sin problemas. Es el tipo de trabajo que no siempre se ve, pero que marca la diferencia. ¡Gran trabajo, equipo!

Frente a Rupp Arena, Amteck está ayudando a dar nueva vida a un edificio en Main Street que ha estado vacío por años.
La demolición está en marcha: invernaderos, iluminación exterior obsoleta y sistemas eléctricos antiguos están siendo retirados para dar paso a algo mejor. Nuestro equipo está reubicando circuitos y preparando todo para la instalación de nueva iluminación exterior que pronto dará brillo a este espacio renovado. ¡Atentos a la transformación!
